Members of the Garden Court Chambers criminal law team support escalating the Criminal Bar Association proposed action to include days of action in an effort to secure the future viability of the criminal bar.
The future of the junior bar remains in peril and we consider the Government’s response to the crisis to be inadequate in both speed and content to meet the already existing crisis.
Without a thriving and sustainable junior bar, our justice system is at huge risk caused by a shortfall of barristers able to provide adequate representation and promote fair trials.
