We are delighted to announce that Lucie Wibberley has joined Garden Court Chambers.
Lucie is a specialist criminal defence barrister with particular expertise in appellate work, serious violence, fraud, confiscation and regulatory crime, drugs and sexual offences. Lucie was previously a tenant at 1 Pump Court.
She is presently instructed in the first Operation Elveden appeal to raise Article 10 arguments, led by Keir Monteith of Garden Court Chambers representing a prison officer. Leave for appeal was granted by a single judge and will be heard at the Court of Appeal next year. Operation Elveden was the police investigation into payments made to public officials by journalists.
Lucie was called to the bar in 2005. She joins the Garden Court Chambers Crime team and Fraud, Confiscation and Regulatory team.
