Lee represented a young man accused of Class A drug supply offences listed for trial at Maidstone Crown Court. The Prosecution had made the decision to proceed to trial despite the Competent Authority reaching a conclusive grounds decision that the accused was a victim of modern slavery.

Lee successfully argued that the judge ought to stay proceedings on the ground that the Prosecution's decision to proceed was an abuse of process.
