Keir Monteith QC of the Garden Court Crime Team was instructed by Harsha Rupasinghe and Anoushka Twining of Lloyds PR Solicitors to represent Mr Metua.
Mr Metua was alleged to be the leader of an Organised Crime Group that supplied over 400 kilos of cannabis to three separate distribution networks. The prosecution initially stated that he had available assets of over £2 million. After months of work, the instruction of a Forensic Accountant and investigations in Albania, where Mr Metua is originally from, Keir Monteith QC was able to reduce this figure to £148,237.64.
