Garden Court is delighted to welcome Sadat Sayeed back to Chambers after a 12-month sabbatical. Sadat re-joins the Immigration team, and will be returning to his practice in immigration, asylum and nationality law. In addition, Sadat will also be resuming his practice in inquest law.

For 10 months of his sabbatical, Sadat was seconded to a firm of solicitors to work as in-house counsel on a set of high-level political asylum and human rights cases. The particular focus of his work during this period was the intersection between extradition and asylum proceedings. The remaining two months of his sabbatical were spent travelling in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

On returning to Chambers, Sadat said "I'm delighted to be back at Garden Court Chambers. The last year has strengthened my experience in political asylum and human rights work, and hopefully this is something I can bring back to both my solicitors and clients".
