Rebekah Wilson and Amina Ahmed will be speaking on the need for diversity in the family justice system at the workshop session on Family Justice and Diversity: the need for a fundamental review? They will be speaking alongside District Judge Christopher Simmonds.

Rebekah is a committee member of the Association of Lawyers for Children.

‘25 Years of the Children Act: More Haste Less Speed?’ is the theme and title of this year’s 27th ALC Annual Conference, taking place on 17-19 November 2016 at the Marriott Hotel, City Centre Bristol.

The conference will cover a number of topics including radicalisation, FGM, child protection, child health, the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse, anonymisation of children judgments and updates on legal aid and public and private child law. Other workshop topics will include care proceedings with an international dimension, communication in court, and breaking the cycle of removal.
