The Defendant, AM, was wanted in Argentina for trial for drugs trafficking offences.
Rebecca successfully argued that abhorrent prison conditions as well as the culture of violence perpetrated both by prison guards and between prisoners was such that his extradition would breach his right under Art 3 of the ECHR to freedom from inhumane and degrading treatment. AM was discharged by DJ Zani at the conclusion of the Magistrates' Court extradition hearing.
