Man accused of murder using WW1 ammunition unanimously acquitted

Noor Omar, accused of shooting and killing a young man, has been unanimously acquitted by a jury at the Central Criminal Court. The defendant was represented by Icah Peart QC and Di Middleton.

The defendant was wrongly alleged to have shot a young man in the back using World War One American ammunition. The case against Mr Omar, which concluded yesterday afternoon, was based on circumstantial evidence. The jury took only ninety minutes to unanimously acquit the defendant.
