Jury acquits in joint enterprise axe murder trial

After hearing submissions of law, a judge at the Old Bailey has directed a jury to enter not guilty verdicts in the case of a man accused of a joint enterprise murder where the victim was killed with an axe.

The trial had been running for seven weeks. David Emanuel represented the defendant, who was also acquitted of four attempted murders and a violent disorder.

David Emanuel is a member of the Garden Court Chambers Crime Team. He was led by Harendra de Silva QC of Goldsmith Chambers and they were instructed by Pan Symeou of Faradays Solicitors.
