On Wednesday 17th June, Garden Court Chambers is holding an all day conference on judicial review law and procedure.

Some of the leading administrative court and human rights barristers at Garden Court Chambers will address the state of the law in key judicial review areas and give practical advice on how to apply the law when running judicial review cases.

The aim of the course is to provide an overview of where judicial review law stands, to discuss cutting edge developments and to advise on how to apply the law in practice to make a difference to clients' lives.

The topics covered include:

  • Procedure, urgent applications, funding and costs
  • The public/private divide
  • The duty to give reasons
  • Legitimate expectation
  • Proportionality
  • Damages and just satisfaction
  • Discrimination claims in public law proceedings

The day will end with a Panel Discussion. Attendees will be supplied with an email address, in advance of the day, to make suggestions as to the legal and practical issues that ought to be included in the Panel Discussion, and during the day.
