Homelessness (rough sleeping): on 14 September 2010 the UK Government issued new guidance to local authorities in England to help them evaluate more accurately the numbers of rough sleepers in their areas. Housing associations in Wales: on 8 September 2010 the Welsh Assembly Government published new guidelines against which it will assess the performance of housing associations in Wales. Mortgage repossessions: new figures from the Financial Services Authority show that just under 10,000 homes were repossessed in the second quarter of this year and that over 37,000 new borrowers have fallen into arrears. For full details, click here.
