Gerwyn Wise of the Garden Court Crime Team was instructed by Keshina Bouri of Carson Kaye Solicitors.
Gerwyn represented KW, one of six defendants, charged with conspiracy to kidnap at Portsmouth Crown Court.
KW was accused of being part of a London gang responsible for kidnapping a man in front of his two young children off a street in Portsmouth. Once kidnapped the man was subjected to threats and repeated assaults by the gang as they demanded the transfer of 5 million bitcoin.
KW was the only defendant found not guilty after two separate trials for the defendants.
