Garden Court Chambers is pleased to be supporting an international conference on Defending Human Rights Defenders, being run by the Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers, Amnesty International and the European Association of Lawyers for Democracy & World Human Rights.

The conference will hear from five delegations of human rights defenders from some of the most challenging civil societies around the world: Colombia, Palestine, the Philippines, Swaziland and the Caucasus region.

For more information about the conference and booking details, click here.

The conference has been made possible in part by financial support from Garden Court Chambers' Special Fund - a unique source of funding in the legal community that supports progressive, cutting edge organisations doing legal, campaigning or charitable work in defence of civil liberties and social justice. Every member of Chambers contributes a percentage of their personal income to the Fund.
