In a new venture, Garden Court Chambers is being published in India. The first article, by David Watkinson, appears in the March issue of the magazine "From the Lawyers' Collective". It is on the erosion of tenants' security of tenure in the UK, and refers to the Bombay Rent Act.
The Lawyers Collective has offices in Mumbai (formerly Bombay), Delhi, and Bangalore. David Watkinson recently spent five weeks with them, observing and learning about their work, particularly on behalf of HIV/AIDs sufferers and domestic violence victims.
