Anna Morris and Tom Wainwright, instructed by Kellys Solicitors, represented 3 protesters who were arrested at Climate Camp at Kingsnorth power station last year who have lodged a complaint with the IPCC regarding their treatment at the hands of police officers. The 3, Emily Apple, Valerie Swain and Jeffrey Cornock, were present at the demonstrating campaigning for FIT Watch, a group that monitors the use of police surveillance at protests. They believe that they were targeted for their involvement with this campaign. All 3 were prosecuted at Medway Magistrates' Court for assaulting police officers but these charges were swiftly dropped after a report revealed that officers reports of injuries sustained at the protest had been overstated. link to video
