The activists intended to halt all vehicle traffic from entering the Cuadrilla fracking site at Preston New Road in Lancashire. They took action following the decision of central government to overturn Lancashire County Council’s refusal to permit fracking at the site.

The case has been reported in the media including Drill or Drop, the BBC and the Lancashire Post.

All 10 activists were represented by Owen Greenhall of the Garden Court Crime Team. He was instructed by Mike Schwarz of Bindmans LLP.
