The purpose of this seminar is to familiarise criminal practitioners with the civil remedies available to a wrongly arrested person or an acquitted defendant. The speakers will deal with the relevant considerations when advising clients both at the police station and at trial. They will also focus on developments in the procedure and substantive law, which apply to actions against the police.
