Immigration and asylum
Navida has been instructed on complex appeals involving minors, vulnerable adults and victims of torture. She has experience in a wide variety of immigration and refugee work, such as deportation, Article 8 private and family life, Tier 2 sponsor license revocations, fresh claims, entry clearance representations and appeals. Navida is often brought on board early to advise on improving the prospects of a case.
Prior to coming to the bar, Navida worked with the Deportation Advice Project at Bail for Immigration Detainees focusing on Article 8 deportation cases.

Background
Before coming to the bar, Navida worked in local government and social housing, advising on policy and strategy. She was appointed as an advisor to the board of a historic women’s organisation in east London. She also has a background in youth work and entrepreneurship, involving fashion design, food and social enterprise.
