Jennifer is a specialist public law family barrister who appears in the High Court and family courts across London covering a wide range of areas including, non-accidental injuries, sexual abuse, removal of children from the jurisdiction to both Hague Convention and non-Hague Convention countries, Committal Proceedings, Wardship and cases of radicalisation.
Family Law
Public Law: Jennifer has experience acting for Local Authorities, parents and Guardians in care proceedings including in cases involving non-accidental injuries, neglect, sexual abuse and adoption. She has particular experience representing vulnerable parents and parents with learning difficulties where capacity may be an issue. Jennifer’s cases often involve Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards applications in respect of children and consideration of a family’s Human Rights.
Private Law: Jennifer is regularly instructed to represent parents in Private Law proceedings where there are disputes relating to both residence and contact involving complex domestic abuse and neglect. She has experience representing grandparents and extended family members in Special Guardianship applications and Child Arrangement Order applications.

Background
Jennifer is a fierce human rights defender and in addition to her family practice, Jennifer worked as a Lead Investigator on the Hillsborough Inquiry leading to the criminal trials of those involved.
Jennifer has worked with Asylum Applicants and refugees in the UK and abroad, most recently working with Advocates Abroad in Lesvos, Greece providing legal assistance to newly arrived Asylum Applicants.
