Terry Munyard secured a rare acquittal yesterday in a riot related case. The defendant, a 20-year-old man, had been facing two charges of burglary of a bike and car accessory store in Catford during last summer's London riots.

Having been acquitted of the first count at the Inner London Crown Court in November, the jury was unable to agree on the second count. This led to a retrial and an acquittal on the second charge yesterday.

Acquittals in riot-related cases are particularly rare, and this case remains the only example we are aware of.
