The defendant, a member of the travelling community, was alleged to have murdered another member of the travelling community at Cobham Service Station using a builders whisk which penetrated his head. The defendant’s primary defence was self defence. Both he and his co-defendant were found not guilty.

This case has been reported extensively in the press, including in the BBC, the Independent, the Daily Mail and the Sun.
