Re E (A Child) (2013)
A mother appealed against adoption and care orders made in respect of her youngest child on the application of the respondent local authority. It was found that the judge’s decision to place a child for adoption had been wrong as he had not looked at the proportionality of the outcome against the evidence in the case.

Z v Z (2013)
Case concerned an application for the recognition of an adoption that had been obtained through Brazilian proceedings.

Re R (A Child) (2012)
An application to have an Indian private placement adoption, previously considered to be outside the scope of the Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in respect of Intercountry Adoption 1993 by the Indian authorities, was recognised by the United Kingdom

Re. adoption/care/post adoption contact and competing welfare needs of siblings. The case considers consequences arising from mother’s failure of emotional care towards her children and her inability to co-operate with the local authority.
