Defendant acquitted of murder and manslaughter at Old Bailey

On Wednesday 27th November 2019, after a trial lasting almost 6 weeks, Chaise Gray was acquitted of murder and manslaughter at the Old Bailey.

He and four co-defendants had been charged with the killing of 22 year old Ayodeji Azeez, in what had been described in the press as a “Honeytrap” joint enterprise murder.

Chaise was convicted of the lesser charge of conspiracy to rob, and will be sentenced in respect of that matter on 20th December 2019.
