Garden Court Chambers organises three mini-pupillage courses each year. The first is held in February, the second in June and the third in September/October. On each occasion we take 8 – 10 mini-pupils.
On each day of the course, mini-pupils are offered the opportunity to attend court or other hearings, to work on legal research in Chambers and attend conferences. Early evening de-briefing sessions are organised and followed up with a variety of workshops and lectures. It is expected that mini-pupils will attend the whole week.
The application window for our next mini-pupillage week, which will be taking place from Monday 20 February 2017 to Friday 24 February 2017, is now CLOSED.
We aim to let only successful applicants know of the outcome of their application by Friday 20 January 2017.
Please note that we cannot let unsuccessful applicants know of the outcome of their application quite simply because of the large number of applications we receive during each opening.
Unfortunately, Garden Court Chambers is not able to offer any placements outside of these dates and only applications made using the online form on our website will be considered. All applications will be sent to a member of the Pupillage Committee for review. They will select the successful candidates and provide a list of reserves.
Our mini pupillage weeks are intended purely for work experience and are only available to students over 18 years of age. The criteria used for assessing mini pupillage applications are different from those applied to pupillage. We do not require potential pupils to have completed a mini pupillage with Garden Court Chambers.

We aim to offer mini-pupillages to those who share our commitment to human rights, social justice and equality and to those who would benefit the most from the experience.
Garden Court Chambers has not yet allocated dates for our June/September 2017 Mini Pupillage Weeks.
Work experience placements are open to students in full-time education under the age of 18. All work experience placements are one week long, and will involve shadowing various barristers to court and assisting them.
Please note that work experience placements for 2017 are now closed. To apply please send your CV and cover letter to the email address below.
If you submitted an application for work experience in 2017, unfortunately we will be in contact with you only if your application was successful.
Please note that Chambers does not offer work experience placements in the months of February, June, August and September.
