Garden Court wins Legal 500 crime set of the year award

8 October 2015

We are delighted to announce that we have received the Legal 500 crime set of the year award. The winners in these awards are chosen by the Legal 500 as a result of thousands of interviews with law firms, sets and in-house counsel in the UK. We came up against stiff competition from some of the premier-league criminal sets of chambers.

Upon receiving the award Colin Cook, Senior Clerk to Chambers, commented that:

“The Garden Court Crime Team’s Legal 500 award recognises the hard work that members have put in over the past four decades. We’re grateful for the support given by the criminal legal community. I am sure that our criminal defence barristers will continue to give the best possible service for the client and fight whole-heartedly for the right of the individual.”

We are involved in many of the most important and high-profile criminal cases, spanning the whole spectrum of criminal law. We are best known for dealing with offences ranging from murder and terrorism to public order and protest. At the same time, we undertake a wide range of white-collar crime and regulatory work, including corporate fraud, missing-trader fraud, money laundering and confiscation cases. Many members have worked with community organisations and law centres, so we understand the needs of vulnerable clients facing criminal charges.

More information about the Crime Team can be found on the barristers page of the website. To contact any barrister in the Crime Team or to find out about how we can assist you, please contact Senior Clerk to Chambers, Colin Cook:
