Keir's client, AT, faced an allegation that he conspired to supply 38 kilos of cocaine with a street value of £3.8 million.

AT was also accused of associated money laundering allegations. If convicted he would have faced a sentence of about 20 years custody. However, after Keir drafted a proactive defence statement the case was reviewed by the prosecution.

On Friday 26th October the Crown Prosecution Service decided to offer 'no evidence' and not guilty verdicts were entered.

Keir Monteith is a member of the Garden Court Chambers Crime Team.
