Ali Naseem Bajwa QC and Mutahir Ahmed of Thompson & Co Solicitors acted for Femi Cela, who, following an 11-week trial at the Old Bailey, was cleared of murder on 3 May 2017, but convicted of the alternative offence of manslaughter.
Cela was accused of the joint enterprise murder by stabbing of Andre Aderemi in Croydon on 16 August 2016.
14 eyewitnesses gave evidence at the trial. Two of Cela’s co-defendants were convicted of the murder.
