Fraud and Regulatory Law

Garden Court has a strong and flourishing Fraud and Regulatory Law Team. Members of the team have been involved in some of the biggest fraud cases of the last few years, and what distinguishes our approach is the characteristic Garden Court emphasis on client care, meticulous preparation, technical expertise, big trial experience and above all an unswerving commitment to contest the rights of the individual against the State. Our barristers have experience of cases involving corporate fraud, insider dealing, false accounting, tax fraud, VAT evasion and carousel fraud.

We have experience of representing professionals such as accountants, solicitors and bankers, and of defending in prosecutions brought by the SFO, FSA and HM Custom & Excise. Members have appeared in public inquiries, provided CPD accredited training in Asset Recovery and the Proceeds of Crime Act, and we have members on the Bar Standards Board, at the cutting-edge of professional regulation.
