Mini Pupillage and Work Experience

Mini Pupillage

Garden Court Chambers organises two mini-pupillage courses each year. The first is held April and the second in September. On each occasion we take 8 - 10 mini-pupils.

On each day of the course, mini-pupils are offered the opportunity to attend court or other hearings, to work on legal research in Chambers and attend conferences. Early evening de-briefing sessions are organised and followed up with a variety of workshops and lectures. It is expected that mini-pupils will attend the whole week.

Applications for the April intake are now closed.

Successful applicants for the April 2012 course will be informed during the month of January 2012. Please note that due to the number of applications we receive, we are unable to respond to unsuccessful applicants. If you have any queries, please email minipupillage@gclaw.co.uk.

We will be opening the Garden Court Chambers application page in May 2012 for our September mini-pupillage course. Applications must be made through the Garden Court Chambers online application page and will not be accepted via post or email.

Mini-pupillages are only available to students over 18 years of age. All applications will be sent to a member of the Pupillage Committee for review. They will select the successful candidates and provide a list of reserves.

We aim to offer mini-pupillages to those who share our commitment to human rights, social justice and equality and to those who would benefit the most from the experience.

Work Experience

We are able to offer a limited number of work experience placements each year. Our placements for January to June 2012 are now full. We will be accepting applications from 1 March 2012 for placements commencing July 2012, open to students in full-time education under the age of 18, allocated on a first-come first-serve basis.
