David Jones


Practice

David is a specialist in all areas of Immigration, Asylum, Human Rights, EU Free Movement, and Nationality Law. He has also developed an expertise in civil litigation in false imprisonment and unlawful detention cases, and is experienced in Public and Administrative Law generally.

Other activities

David worked and volunteered for the Immigration Advisory Service, Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants and the Immigration Law Practitioners Association between 1992 and 1994 when he joined the bar. He has practiced exclusively in his chosen specialisations since 1996.

David is a contributor to the following specialist practitioners texts: Macdonalds Immigration Law and Practice (5th and 6th Editions); Your Rights (Liberty); Atkins Court Forms; Encyclopedia of Forms and Precedents; HJT Accreditation Training Manual (1st, 2nd and 3rd Editions).

David is also an External Examiner for the Law Society on the LPC. He is also a founder and Director of HJT Training a company which specialising in Immigration, Asylum and Human rights law training and HJT Research which provides the on-line country information database to the Electronic Immigration Network
